Massage Therapy Treatment by a Registered Massage Therapist begins with an interview to assess your situation and determine what area, or areas, need treatment, and what type of treatment would be most suited for each individual. Sessions are 1/2 hour , or one hour. $40.00—$80.00

LAURIE MCEWEN, R.M.T.

Laurie has been in practice since 1991. She graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Vancouver. She utilizes many modalities in her practice such as Neuromuscular Therapy, Muscle Energy Technique, Cranial Sacral Therapy,and Myofascial Release. "I find it very effective to assess a person when they come in for a treatment. I have been interested in how a person's alignment affects the muscles and the structure of the body, or more to the point; how a persons muscles and history of injuries affect the structure. I have found a strong relationship between how we are pulled and pushed out of alighment and where the pain is. I use Myofashial Release to help to release scar tissue, and using vairous other techniques, such as trigger point therapy to help to create a balance within the body."

GWEN WALKER, R.M.T.

Gwen has been in the field of healing for 20 years. She initially studied Shiatsu. She then attended the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. After attending the WCCMT, she worked in Whistler, mainly doing Sports Massage. She later went to Bangkok to study Traditional Thai Massage at the Wat Po Temple in Bangkok.
